What is the RFCS Program?
The Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) is a Federal and State funded program delivered locally by NEX. Our qualified and experienced team help farmers, fishers, foresters and related small businesses transition out of immediate financial crisis and to make informed decisions about the future of their business.

How Does it Work?
1. Start the conversation
Contact us for a free and confidential discussion. We can speak with you over the phone or arrange a time to meet in person at your home, farm or business.
2. Work through your options
Your financial counsellor will help you understand your situation, focus on what matters most and explore practical options. This may include cash flow planning, debt options or connecting you with other support services.
3. Move forward with confidence
We will support you to take the next steps and help you build a stronger and more resilient future.
Who is Eligible?
You may be eligible for FREE support if you:
- are a farmer, fisher or forester
- are an agricultural contractor or service provider operating in a regional or rural area, and
- are experiencing, or at risk of, financial hardship, or
- are facing financial stress or uncertainty due to natural disasters, market or industry changes, or change in personal circumstances.
Each situation is different. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help determine your eligibility and, if needed, guide you to other suitable support options.
